Freedom House - Georgia shows improvement in media freedom

U.S.-based non-governmental organization Freedom House has published annual report on freedom of media today. The document says that situation has worsened from the point of free of media freedom in several countries of the Eastern Europe - the ratings have fallen in Hungary, Macedonia, Ukraine and Russia. 

Reconstruction of Rustavi park begins

SFF offers UEFA to host Euro 2012

Spanish Football Federation president Angel Maria Villar has reportedly made an offer to stage Euro 2012 this summer. The tournament, which starts next month, is scheduled to be co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland, but last week`s bombings in Dnepropetrovsk have sparked serious security concerns. 

Strategic Development Agency formed

A new office - strategic development agency was formed in the government of Georgia. The agency was formed under the initiative of the president and it will be authorized to coordinate tourism infrastructure projects in the country.
