A military parade dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia was held in the city of Kutaisi today. All units of the military forces of the country marched through the street out side the new parliament building in Georgia`s second largest city.
President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili stressed significance of moving the parliament of Georgia from capital Tbilisi to the historical capital Kutaisi in his speech at the opening ceremony of the new parliament building today.
The first sitting was held in the new parliament building, which opened in Georgia`s second largest city Kutaisi today. President Saakashvili with Speaker Bakradze installed the last glass on the building, with it completing construction of the new parliament.
Made in Georgia Industrial Parade is underway in Rustaveli Avenue, the main thoroughfare of Tbilisi. Productions of over 250 Georgian factories, starting from carriages to oil tank trucks or agricultural products have been exhibited along the avenue.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will arrive in Georgia on June 5, 2012, within her Caucasian tour, the official website of the U.S. Department of State reports. The secretary will arrive in Georgia from Armenia.
Georgia marks the Independece Day today. The national celebration has been marked since 1918. On May 26, 1918 National Council of Georgia declared national independence of Georgian people and establishment of Democratic Republic of Georgia.
