Georgian president visits Tusheti district

Georgian president attended the presentation of the reserved territories, an administrative building and the visitors` center in the village of Omalo, Tusheti district on Sunday. The opening of the new administrative offices in the region coincided with the celebration of Tusheti. Festival of traditional games and cuisine, exhibition of handmade units and food products of the local population were also held.

The Georgian president talked to the locals and emphasized necessity of improving living conditions for tourists in the region. One of the locals asked Mikheil Saakashvili for help. He asked for granting Georgian citizenship to his son, who has returned from abroad.
