UNESCO discussed Georgia`s cultural heritage

The conservation of Georgia`s historic monuments was discussed at the session of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s World Heritage Committee, which met on Wednesday in Brasilia.  

Young man jumped from fifth floor

A 29 year-old man jumped from the balcony of his apartment on the fifth floor at 9 a.m. on Friday. The incident occurred in the Varketili district. The emergency brigade hospitalized the man in ten minutes after the incident; however, they failed to save him.

Plutonium container found in Tbilisi

A container full with plutonium has been discovered in Tbilisi. The container was held in the depository of the Tbilisi Isotope Institute, the staff of which informed the Nuclear and Radioactive Security Department of the Ministry of Environment of Georgia immediately.  

High temperature forecast until August 10

High temperature will be maintained on whole territory of Georgia until August 10 - the weather forecast says. In the west of the country, the temperature will reach 40degree Celsius; the highest point in the east will be 37 degree Celsius.
