Police arrest people who robbed TSU library depot

Tbilisi police have arrested three people suspected of plundering the depot of the Tbilisi State University library. According to the investigation, Vazha Azariashvili, Zura Aghdgomelashvili and Merab Chelidze [earlier convicted for bribery] stole unique Russian books from the library depot and sold them in Ukraine. Another person, Kakheli Khotenashvili is also suspected of being involved in the crime. The books, which they stole and sold in Ukraine for 40,000 dollars in total, were printed in 18-19 centuries and were very valuable editions for Georgian culture.
The investigation is in progress. Police works to find out if the four suspects had partners in this crime.
