The rescue operation lasted until late last night in the river Mtkvari in Gori. The rescuers were searching for the body of the 14-year old boy, Sulkhan Jalabadze, who drowned in the river yesterday evening. The friends of the boy say he wanted to swim in the deep part of the river, when the flow of the water took him and the boy failed to swim to the bank. His friends also tried to save the boy but in vain. Rescuers said it was useless to work at night and resumed the searching operation this morning and found the body of the drowned boy in an hour.
