Georgian judo team`s success at Oberwart World Cup

Georgian national judo team has taken first position at the World Cup tournament held in the Austrian city of Oberwart. Betkil Shukvani won his gold medal in the 60kg category on the first day of the tournament and Levan Tsiklauri won the second gold of the team in the 81 kg category. Adam Okruashvili won his silver and Zviad Khanjaliashvili - bronze medal.
Levan Tsiklauri`s wrestling was as effective in the World Cup tournament as in Tbilisi`s one held earlier. In 74 seconds he swept the chances to win gold off Canadian wrestler Antoine Valois-Fortier.
The most unexpected was the failure of Georgian wrestler Avtandil Chrikishvili. Tbilisi world cup champion overcame only the first round of the tournament in Oberwart.
Headquarters of the International Olympic Committee and the government of Switzerland thanks Georgian government for its decision to participate in the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014. The letter has been delivered to the government of Georgia by the ambassador of Switzerland to Georgia Gunther Bechler.
