Four Georgian sailors ask for help

15.02.12 10:12

Four Georgian, who have been captured on a ship in Sokhumi, breakaway Abkhazia, sailors ask for help. Giorgi Sapanadze, Manuchar Bolkvadze, Sulkhan Tsetskhladze and Aziz Varshanidze joined the crew of the Panama-flagged ship owned by a Starlet Shipping Company on February 21, 2011.

The relatives of the sailors say they were deceitfully and illegally taken to the waters of the occupied Abkhazia without being paid for the work.

The relatives accuse their employer Laura Chaduneli of cheating the sailors, however, Chaduneli says the sailors will take their salaries in a few days and return to the Georgia-controlled territory soon.

The Abkhazian television has released the video today depicting the sailors on board of the ship.
