Saakashvili inspects new pharmaceutical enterprise

President Saakashvili visited today Abipharm new pharmaceutical enterprise in the village of Tserovani some 40 kilometers from Tbilisi. The president inspected the new enterprise and the quality of teh products made at the works; he also talked to the local medical staff.
A private investment of over USD 3 million has been made in the enterprise, which has employed 30 people, among them internally displaced persons. Heads of the enterprise intend to increase the business, therefore they intend to increase the number of jobs in the enterprise.
During his visit to t Tserovani, Mikheil Saakashvili said launch of deep and comprehensive free trade with EU would practically solve the employment problem in the Georgia. He said the process is expected to end in about a year and a half. Saakashvili also stressed significance of possible signing of free trade agreement between Georgia and U.S.
"Neither Turkey, nor Germany have free trade with the USA’, he said. ‘Georgia will be the only country in the region that will have free trade with the USA. It means Georgia is really becoming a center of manufacturing’, Saakashvili said.
