Moscow police say bank robber suspects are Georgians

Moscow police have detained a gang of robbers, who assaulted the cash machine of the one of the branches of the SberBank in Moscow today. The police have not made an official report about the crime and the robbers; however, Russian media says some of the detainees are Georgians.

According to Life News Agency, two suspects are Georgians and two others - Abkhazians.
The robbery occurred on Tuesday morning. The robbers waited for the money collector outside the bank, but earlier, they assaulted the driver of the cash machine and damaged the tires.

The suspects had two pistol guns with them when detained. The investigation is trying to find links between this and whole series of assaults on cash machines, which has occurred in Moscow recently.
