Saakashvili congratulates Muslims on Novruz Bayram

Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili congratulated on the beginning of Novruz Bayram to Muslim citizens of Georgia.
`My dear compatriots, my Azeri people, Novruz Bayram is as close and dear holiday for me, as all other important holidays in Georgia. I am celebrating this day together with you and look at the future of our homeland with optimism. Novruz is a family celebration and just like your family member, I share you joy connected to this day.
I am proud that we are making a unified state, where representatives of all cultures, confessions and ethnicity feel themselves as equal children of the country. We are building this country and each of us is ready to sacrifice their lives for it. It is not accidental, that this day is described in Georgians` most valuable book Knight in the Panther`s Skin.
This day is precious not only for all citizens of Georgia, but for world`s cultures and civilizations. UNESCO General Assembly recognized March 21st as an international holiday and the achievement of the world.
I sincerely congratulate you on this nation-wide holiday and wish success, peace and commonwealth to each of you,` the statement of the president says.
