Computer Literacy Society founded in Kvareli

Computer Literacy Society was officially founded by the government of Georgia. The ceremony was held in the House Museum of great public figure of the 19-20 centuries Ilia Chavchavadze in Kvareli yesterday.
Ilia Chavchavadze was the founder of the Society for the Spreading of Literacy Among Georgians in the end of the 19th century.
President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili attended the presentation in Kvareli yesterday and spoke about the meaning of the project.
The project initiated by the government, aims at opening 300 centers of computer courses, where the locals will be able to acquire computer skills and use internet for educational purpose. Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Giorgi Vashadze introduced the tasks and the goals of the Society to the guests invited to the event.
The presentation was followed by a performance, which revived the 60-ies of the 19th century, when Ilia Chavchavadze founded Society for the Spreading of Literacy Among Georgians.
President Saakashvili was the first, who signed the foundation declaration of the Computer Literacy Society with his ID card.
