Prominent Georgian pianist to give concert on Engury Bridge

Festival of classical music the Future of Georgia, which began in Tbilisi on May22, will be concluded by a grand concert in Kutaisi tomorrow on the Independence Day, but a day before, Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili will perform a concert on the Engury Bridge - that separates breakaway Abkhazia from the rest of Georgia. Currently, the stage is being installed there. Khatia Buniatishvili has cancelled two of her concerts abroad specially for this day. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. today. Symphonic orchestra and the musicians from music schools will also participate in the concert on the Engury Bridge today.
The Orthodox Church of Georgia marks the St. Giorgi (George) Day on May 6. Georgian Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II will conduct a holy mass at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi.
Delegation of Georgian Ministry of Culture and experts will visit Oshki church in historic Tao-Klarjeti, Turkey, today.
