Tela discoveries date back to B.C. III-I centuries

Archaeologists have already confirmed that the discoveries made in the village of Tela, Lagodekhi District, Kakheti Region, date back to the III-I centuries B.C. Archaeological excavations have been already finished and now the scientists are studying the discovered items - ancient sepulcher and clay wine containers. The scientists have paid particular attention to a sepulcher, in which the skeleton was found laying on its left side in a `sleeping pose`. The scientists have also found a dagger, bronze plates with glass jewels, iron knife and chains.
Situation is tense in the village of Nigvziani, Guria Region. The native residents of the village and the eco-migrants, who were resettled in the village from the disaster zone of Adjara Region, have disagreement about their faiths.

Rector of the Shota Rustaveli State University of Theatre and Cinema Noshrevan Chakhidze has resigned in result of the decision made by the academic board of the university.
