8 people have been injured in the explosion that took place in teh town of Dusheti of Mtskheta-Mtianeti district in Eastern part of the country. A vehicle with representatives of the forestry department of the district in it blew up close to the boundary with Russia.
Emergency brigades transported the injured passengers to the local hospital. One of them is suffering a leg fracture.
The other injured passengers are undergoing an intensive medical examination. The Georgian Healthcare Minister arrived in Dusheti to see the patient there.
As reported, the vehicle exploded on a Russian mine, which was left on teh territory during the Russia-Georgian war in August 2008.
Investigation is underway to ascertain causes of the explosion.
