Valdas Adamkus Boulevard opens in Georgia`s Black Sea town

A boulevard named after Valdas Adamkus, the former president of Lithuania opened in Georgia`s Black Sea town of Anaklia today. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened the boulevard with Mr. Adamkus.
National folk dances and songs of Georgia and Lithuania were performed at the opening ceremony.
The president and the former leader of Lithuania delivered their speeches at the ceremony.
Mikheil Saakashvili in his speech stressed the business-like as well as friendly relations between the two countries; he recalled the great support Lithuania expressed for Georgia during the Russia-Georgia war in 2008.
Valdas Adamkus in his speech underlined the reforms, which have been carried out in Georgia in the recent years.
