Kutaisi police have resumed interrogation of the activists of the Georgian Dream Coalition - the law enforcers are questioning Mikheil Meskhi regarding the investigation launched by the prosecutor`s office after the request of the Chamber of Control.
Mikheil Meskhi is the member of the coalition, who said in the interview with the Rustavi2 new program Courier yesterday that the `dreams` written in the flayers of the coalition, would be made true during the pre-election campaign.
Whether it was the act of vote-buying by the political organization for upcoming elections will be clarified after the investigation is over. The representatives of the opposition coalition made different comments on the campaign. The representatives of the coalition held a special press conference yesterday, where they asserted that the persons interviewed by the Courier were not the members of the coalition.
Afterwards, Mikheil Meskhi held a briefing in the Georgian Dream office. The briefing was announced in advance. Mikheil Meskhi said the controversy was caused by his misunderstanding of the campaign, however, he did not deny that he was the activists of the opposition movement.
Two activists of the Georgian Dream were held at the Kutaisi police until 10 p.m. yesterday. They were summoned to the police office as witnesses.
