Tbilisi City Court imposes Gel-148, 650,131 penalty on Bidzina Ivanishvili

Tbilisi City Court has imposed a penalty of Gel 148, 650,131 on leader of the Georgian Dream opposition coalition Bidzina Ivanishvili. From the whole sum Gel 126,220,190 has been imposed for installing satellite antennas for free and Gel 22,429,941 - for providing the political coalition with favourable transport service.
After the investigation carried out by the Chamber of control of Georgia, doubts arose that with these means the political coalition acted against the law and used technical means of several companies for political purposes.
Bidzina Ivanishvili`s team and attorneys reject the court`s decision and intend to file an appeal.
