Appeals Court did not satisfy Ivanishvili`s appeal

The Appeals Court has left the ruling of the Tbilisi City Court in force and did not satisfy the complaint of the Georgian Dream Coalition leader, Bidzina Ivanishvili, who was demanding double citizenship of Georgia. Ivanishvili is the citizen of France currently and is seeking for double citizenship to run in Georgian elections.
The Tbilisi City Court ruled on the case on December 27,2011.
The opposition leader can appeal the Appeals Court ruling at the Supreme Court of Georgia in 21 days.
Attorneys of the UNM secretary general Vano Merabishvili and president`s representative to the Kakheti Region will appeal the ruling of the Kutaisi city court by 3 p.m. today.
