Heavy precipitation inflicts damage on western regions of Georgia

Heavy precipitation has inflicted serious damage on the western regions of Georgia. Non-stop rains have damaged roads, caused landslides; swollen rivers present serious danger of flood in Samegrelo Region.
Several villages have been already flooded in the Tsalenjikha district of the Samegrelo Region. The downpour swept a 200 meter-long sector of the road, isolating several villages from the rest of the region. Locals could only travel by de tours this morning. One man was injured in the flood yesterday. Mamuka Nachkebia was hospitalized by locals to the Zugdidi clinic with numerous fractures and injuries, where he was operated on.
The rainy days will last in the country for a week. The temperature will fall to 25 grades by Celsius almost in all regions of Georgia. Meteorologists forecast hail along with rains in the Eastern regions of the country.

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has released a special statement regarding discovering a bunker in Samegrelo Region, where they found large quantity of explosive devices and subtances, camouflages, hand grenades, fire arms, phsycotropic pills and rugs like heroine, cocaine, opium, subutex and other.
