Parliament bureau discussed new program of government
Session of the parliament bureau was held at the parliament today, where the lawmakers spoke about the agenda of the discussion of government`s new program after the cabinet reshuffle and the funding of the office of the new state minister for employment.
Before the session, parliament chairperson met with the parliamentary majority discussing the new composition of the cabinet.
Later today, Prime Minister`s candidate Vano Merabishvili is expected to present new program of the government to parliament. The date of the special session of the parliament, where the lawmakers should declare trust to the new cabinet, will be announced at the bureau tomorrow. At today`s session, parliamentary opposition demanded time to look into the details of the government`s action plan proposed by the candidate of the Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili.
United National Movement is preparing for primaries - Davit Bakradze, the leader of the parliamentary minority announced the decision of the opposition party to select the presidential candidate via primaries at today`s briefing.
Georgian Labour Party calls on the government to make vote in elections mandatory for the citizens of Georgia. According to their initiative, any citizen, who refuses to vote in elections should face administrative fines.
