Merabishvili says Akhalaia is the best candidate of interior minister

Interior Minister and the candidate of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili has made his first comment on the nomination of the current defense minister Bacho Akhalaia as the candidate of interior minister.
Merabishvili said Bacho Akhalaia is the best candidate for this position, who would maintain and continue the reforms launched in the system during his ministry.
`I cannot be indifferent about the fate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and I believe that Bacho Akhalaia will succeed to maintain and continue the reforms, the directions, which our ministry had chosen during my work as the minister. I believe that Bacho Akhalaia is the best candidate and I am glad that my initiative was supported by the president. We`ll continue reforms in every ministry and official structures together,` Merabishvili said.
