Three suspected of Dumbadze`s murder were sent to custody

Three persons arrested by the Moscow police in suspicion of assassinating retired Georgian general Roman Dumbadze in Moscow a month ago, have been sent to custody under the ruling of the Moscow Court. All three are Georgian nationals. They will stay in prison until August 21st, 2012. One of the suspects, Roman Belkania denies the charges and says he was together with his wife when Dumbadze was killed. The detention operation was conducted in Moscow`s several districts simultaneously yesterday. The suspects did not resist to the police. Roman Dumbadze was killed by two masked bikers in Moscow on May 21st.
West Georgia`s District Prosecutor`s Office has arrested the secretary general of the United National movement Vano Merabishvili and the president`s representative to the Kakheti Region Zurab Chiaberashvili.
Prime Minister of Georgia has commented on the detention of UNM secretary general Vano Merabishvili and the president`s representative to the Kakheti Region Zurab Chiaberashvili by the West Georgia district prosecutor`s office.
