Man detained over alleged connections with chlorine leakage case

Police detained today the head of Sentiment GMC Ltd. Gocha Kuletchishvili, who is charged under the article N288 -Violation of Rule on Dealing with Environmentally Hazardous Substance or Waste, which threaten a human life, Georgia`s Interior Ministry reports.
On July 6th the head of “Kristal LTD” Levan Dautashvili was also arrested due to the chlorine leakage in Lilo settlement and charged under the article 288 which envisages from 5 to eight years of imprisonment.
73 people were intoxicated due to the chlorine leakage, which occurred in the Lilo district of Tbilisi on July 5, 2012. 18-year-old man died at hospital today. Chlorine leaked from one of the containers in a private enterprise. The rescuers tried to move the damaged container to a more secure place, but the chlorine leaked in this process for the second time.
