Georgian Defense Ministry extends condolences over soldier`s death

Georgian Defense Ministry extends the deepest condolences over the death of Private Koba Makharashvili and expresses sympathy to his family members.
The body of the 19-year-old soldier has already been transported to his native village in Gurjaani district in Eastern Georgia.
Family members of the killed soldier said the incident took place in Gori military district on Wednesday (July 11) evening. The soldier had a bullet lodged in his head.
Neighbours of teh soldier said, twenty minutes before the incident, Koba Makharashvili talked with his family members by a cell phone.
A criminal proceeding has already been launched over the fact. The Military Police is investigating the case.
The details related to the death of the military servant will be made public after completion of the inquiry.
Defense Ministry will cover the funeral expenses and provide material assistance to the family of the killed Private.
