Special commission to count damage in Samtskhe-Javakheti
Special commission will be formed to count the damage inflicted onto the Samtskhe-Javakheti Region last night. The disaster has particularly damaged Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni, Aspindza and Vale districts, where the roofs of the houses and vehicles parked in the streets have been damaged. The flood caused by the heavy rain has flooded ground floors of the houses and cultivated lands. The hail lasted fifteen minutes and it tore down electricity wires leaving the region disconnected from electricity network. The disaster has also caused problems on the roads. Vehicles stuck on the blocked highways were evacuated by rescuers, who worked in the disaster area whole night. The representatives of local governments were observing the rescue works.
