Seven of eleven persons killed during the special anti-crime operation in the Lotopa Ravine, Kakheti Region, have been identified. Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is reporting that two of them were the citizens of Georgia - Aslan Margoshvili (born on 28/06/1990) and Bahaudin Kavtarashvili( born on 07/02/1986).
Other five gunmen were the citizens of Russia from the North Caucasian Federal Republics - Bahaudin Baghakashvili was born in Grozny, Chechnya in 1986, but he had relatives in the Pankisi Gorge; Dukvakha Doshuev (Chechnya), Salam Zaurbekov (Chechnya), Khashiev Jabarail ( Ingush Republic) and Musa Aduev (Chechnya).

President of Georgia has released a special statement on his facebook page regarding the detention of the UNM secretary general Vano Merabishvili and president`s representative to Kakheti Region, former minister of health care Zurab Chiaberashvili.
