NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has published a video address recorded in Tbilisi on his facebook page. In the three-minute video, Rasmussen emphasizes the meaning of South Caucasus for the security in the region and says Georgia is a special partner for NATO with its largest contribution to ISAF mission. `I am travelling in this region because South Caucasus is important for Euro-Atlantic security and because NATO values our relationships with all of the countries living in this region and we appreciate their support. First and for most, their troops in Afghanistan and Kosovo, but also financial support. NATO is assisting Georgia with defense and security sector reforms and we encourage our partners to keep up the momentum of reforms. Together we want to enhance stability in this region and promote democracy freedom and human rights. South Caucasus has great economic potential but that potential is blocked by unresolved conflicts. Tension in these regions must be reduced and concrete steps must be made to promote reconciliation. Georgia is a special partner for the NATO and a model of commitment. Georgia is making a very significant contribution to our mission in Afghanistan. This autumn Georgia will become the largest non-NATO contributor, this is a remarkable achievement,` Rasmussen said.
