Clergymen enter Gldani prison to see situation, convicts

Another group of clergymen entered prison #8 of Gldani district in Tbilisi, in which the violation of human rights and ill-treatment of prisoners took place, that was revealed by videos released few days ago. The clergymen monitored all buildings of the prison and talked to the convicts there.
After having left the prison, the clergymen said the situation inside is quiet and the prisoners have underwent no violence during the last few days.
At the same time, short-term appointments are still underway at the Gldani prison. Reportedly, family members of 2500 prisoners have already been registered for appointments, while 1700 of them have already seen teh convicts.
The extraordinary short-term appointments will last for two more days. The prison administration is working 24 hours to let family members of all convicts inside the prison.
