Candidate for Georgia`s PM meets with business representatives

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the leader of the Georgian Dream coalition having won the parliamentary elections held just few days ago met with business representatives in Tbilisi today. The candidate for prime-minister of Georgia discussed with them the programs and initiatives the government`s new composition intends to present in the field of economy.
Representatives of small and medium business from Georgia as well as foreign countries attended the meeting. Mr. Ivanishvili called them not to misuse their friendship with the government and keep running their businesses within the law.
The candidate for PM also promised the business representatives that the government will not interfere with business illegally; that the anti monopoly agency will be brought into full force and the state officials, who will even have an attempt to interfere with the business will be strictly punished; that the Code of Labour will be precisely followed. The coalition leader also warned the businesspersons to cut the prices, which are artificially risen.
Bidzina Ivanishvili arrived at the meeting along with his team members, who are working on the economic issues. They were not ascertain the advantages, business representatives will be able to enjoy although they said the guarantees, Bidzina Ivanishvili gave them are very important.
Mr. Ivanishvili also answered questions of the business representatives, who mainly wanted to know whether bank rate will be reduced under the new government, what kind of economic policy it is going to run and what kind of response the can the businesspersons expect who think their properties are illegally sequestrated. Ivanishvili advised them to address the court in any arguable case.
After the meeting, Bidzina Ivanishvili made a comment with media.
"We will try our best and I have given guarantees that the government and officials will not dare to interfere in private property and private business. I can repeat here that we will do anything possible for this", he said. "Besides, we discussed what the state is supposed to carry out in economic or legal terms in order to create an actual investment environment in Georgia and assist developing business, because this is the grounds for revival of economy and for fighting the big unfairness named unemployment", Ivanishvili said.
