UNM`s mp candidate refuses to participate in repeat election
The United National Movement`s (UNM) MP candidate for the single-mandate constituency of Khashuri has refused to participate in the parliamentary repeat election due to take place on Sunday (October 14).
Sergo Kitiashvili said physical pressure was exerted on him and other members of his staff.
The former candidate said in the wake of the pressure by representatives of the Georgian Dream coalition, the elections are expected to be held in unequal conditions for all participants, therefore, he boycotts the elections in protest.
By-elections will be held in 9 polling districts of Khashuri region tomorrow.
