Gamkrelidze refuses to take post of the health minister
16.10.12 10:56
Though he had not officially assumed the office in the new Cabinet, Amiran Gamkrelidze made an official statement today about refusing to take the position of the minister of health and social care. Gamkrelidze has released a special statement regarding his decision an hour before Ivanishvili nominated the full composition of the new cabinet. `I want to thank Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili sincerely and Georgian Dream Coalition for great trust as I was nominated as the candidate of the minister of Labour, health and social care in the new cabinet. However, at the first phase of the discussions, we missed one very significant fact, that there was an embarrassing environment and moral conflict between my future and the current position of my son, who has been working as the director general of the largest insurance company Aldagi BCI,` Gamkrelidze said in the statement.
