Five lawmakers, who won their seats at the parliament as the members of the United National Movement, have refused to join any of the factions formed by the parliament yesterday, and plan to make their own faction, for which they need one more MP to join. Six MPs are required to form a faction in the parliament according to the Georgian legislation.
These five MPs are - Goderdzi Bukia, Khobi single-mandate MP, Gogi Liparteliani - Lentekhi single-mandate MP, Sergo Khabuliani - Tsageri single-mandate MP, Enzel Mkoyan - Ninotsminda single-mandate MP. Four MPs except Khabuliani, were the members of the United National Movement in the previous parliament, though they voted for the candidates of the Georgian Dream coalition at the first session of parliament yesterday.
