Conflict of interests around candidate of energy minister

22.10.12 14:36

Conflict of interest may hinder the work of the future minister of energy Kakha Kaladze, who was nominated by the candidate of prime minister last week. It turns out, that Kaladze`s private company Kala Capital, which was founded on march3, 2011, has 45% of shares in a joint stock company Sakhidroenergomshen, which conducts rehabilitation  of hydro power plants and infrastructure buildings.
The company management have not commented on the issue today. The representatives of the majority have also said that they will have the same questions to Kaladze.
Sozar Subari of the Georgian Dream says he knew nothing about Kaladze`s energy company. He says Kaladze, who was assessed as non-qualified person for the minister of energy, turns out to be one of the most experienced candidates in this sphere.
