EU-Georgia negotiations continue

Negotiations on EU associate membership of Georgia continue - designate of the deputy foreign minister Tornike Gordadze chairs the negotiations for the last time. The meeting was held at the government`s chancellery. Visa-free and free-trade relations are the issues, on which Georgia tries to reach agreement with the European Union. The EU delegation is headed by the director of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia Department of the EU foreign office Gunnar Wiegand.
Tornike Gordadze thanked the people, who participated in these negotiations and wished success to the new government, which will join the negotiations after the Cabinet is approved by the parliament.
`It is very important for us that the speed of the negotiations be maintained,` Tornike Gordadze said.
Georgian delegation presumes three or four rounds will be necessary until the agreement is reached and signed.
