Employs of the cargo transit department of the Georgian Railway Company have begun a two-hour long strike after they failed to reach agreement with the company management about the growth of salaries.
Negotiations between the management and the employs of the Georgian Railways ended without agreement last night. The employs of the company say no concrete decisions were taken at the meeting and threatened to go on strike until their demands were satisfied. Designate of the director general, Irakli Ezugbaia, who made a statement about his resignation a few days ago, was attending the negotiations. The representatives of the company say the salary fund of the company was increased with 8 million GEL during the past few years and the growth of salaries was in progress.
