Georgia`s PM promises autonomous region expansion of authorities
Georgia`s Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has promised the Autonomous Republic of Achara expansion of its authorities.
Ivanishvili made a comment on importance of development of local authorities and decentralization in Batumi today.
"Strengthening of local authorities is one of our priorities. Regions should be able to govern themselves. In this way we should develop our political culture. Decentralization should be made as soon as possible, but step-by-step in order to act consecutively and not abrogate anything. The center will have its functions of course", he told media before the session of the Supreme Council of Achara today.
