Former justice minister may be charged today

Former minister of justice Zurab Adeishvili who is not in Georgia currently may be charged in absentia today. According to the statement of the chief prosecutor of Georgia made yesterday, Adeishvili has been summoned for interrogation regarding the prison scandal of prisoners` torture and abuse, which was unveiled in September. Archil Kbilashvili has defined that after charging Adeishvili, the prosecutor will appeal to the law court for using detention as a preventive measure against the defendant in case he does not appear at court. Kbilashvili also does not rule out to announce Adeishvili wanted by Interpol.
