Minority MPs accuse foreign minister of irresponsibility

18.01.13 14:50

Parliamentary minority will not hold a session of faction due to the refusal of the Foreign Minister to attend the session and make definitions about the foreign policy strategy and her statements made regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Minority members have assessed the refusal of the minister as an irresponsible act.

`Minority must have permanent opportunity to what direction the country is going, why we have misunderstanding situations with our neighbors, what is a specific strategy or tactic or expectation in relations with Russia, what steps should be made towards the NATO integration in order to overcome a number of problems and etc.,` Davit Darchiashvili of the minority said earlier today.

Minority members held a briefing today to assess the refusal of the minister. They said it was quite concerning.

`The refusal of the minister is concerning for two reasons  - on one hand the minister had to answer the questions about government`s foreign policy and strategy; on the other hand this refusal means that the minister is ignoring the parliament,` Davit Darchiashvili said.
