Tbilisi minibus drivers to continue rally outside City Hall

Talks between minibus drivers being on strike and representatives of the Tbilisi Minibus Ltd. ended with no results today.
The drivers said the Tbilisi Minibus representatives did not satisfy their demands. They said they could achieve an agreement on just one issue – to return fired drivers to their jobs.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the initiative group. The drivers are going to continue the strike. They will be urging for satisfaction of their demands outside the Tbilisi City Hall at 10:30 tomorrow.
The meeting lasted for about an hour and a half. Representatives of media were not allowed to attend the meeting for a certain period that caused discontent on the spot. The drivers went on a strike in Tbilisi two days ago.
Attorneys of the UNM secretary general Vano Merabishvili and president`s representative to the Kakheti Region will appeal the ruling of the Kutaisi city court by 3 p.m. today.
Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili has confirmed that the detention of former Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili was briefly discussed at the meeting with diplomatic corps today. Prime Minister told journalists after the meeting that they mostly focused on the basic problems of the country and the ways for their solution.
