Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili plans to meet with the leader of the free Democrats Party, which is the member of the Georgian Dream Coalition, this evening to discuss the details of the scandal voiced by majority leader Davit Saganelidze.
Majority leader called on Alasania to expel those members of the FD party, who were the activists of the United National Movement during parliamentary elections and who arranged provocations at the regional session of the GD founding conference. Ivanishvili said he did not think the members of the Free Democrats party were to be blamed for the scandal, but he suspects that those members, who caused provocations at the regional conference, were informers of the United National Movement.
`There are questions indeed, which Saganelidze voiced. Yesterday, I met about 20 demonstrators at my place from Abasha and they said they did not like the new head of the regional branch elected a few days ago. It is surprising that none of these people was the member of the Georgian Dream. Three of them were from Free Democrats. Saganelidze suspects that the incident was inspired by National Movement. I don`t think that Free Democrats are to be blamed for this, but I think there were people seeded by the National Movement and they are causing provocations,` Ivanishvili said.
Bidzina Ivanishvili has also commented on the initiative of the parliamentary majority, which prepared a draft of legislative initiative on non-change of Georgia`s foreign policy course and its attitude towards the occupation of Georgia`s two breakaway regions. Bidzina Ivanishvili said he would not respond to this initiative and any other, as he did not get any initiatives of the minority seriously.
