Georgian Dream Coalition is not able to raise constitutional majority, Leader of teh parliamentary majority, Mr. Davit Sagnelidze told Position talk-show of Rustavi 2 TV last night.
He said representatives of the coalition have certain instruments to put pressure on the representatives of parliamentary minority and the United National Movement (UNM), although the coalition does not intend to bring those instruments into action.
"There are people in the parliament, I mean in the minority, who can assess the actual situation, but they still have no capacity or courage to make a step, probably because there are numbers of files, which can be used against them any time;
"If we needed to have parliamentary majority, we would bring numbers of instruments into force, at least those ones, the United National Movement have taught us during years. But we will not use them because we don`t need them", he said.
Representatives of the minority responded today to Davit Saganelidze, saying that the pressure on families of the minority members is going on.
Secretary of the united national Movement, Mrs. Irma Nadirashvili said all the instruments, Davit Saganelidze talked about on the TV have already been brought into action and the majority members are putting pressure on the members of teh UNM for purpose of getting their support for carrying out constitutional changes.
"There are no instruments to bribe or intimidate the members of the United National Movement, or force them support that kind of decision, which we think is incorrect and wrong for the country", she said.
