Several protestors of the yesterday`s rally held outside the national library have been arrested with the charges of hooliganism. Police have filed criminal case on the facts of violence and hooliganism and the investigation is in progress. Over ten people were interrogated in suspicion of organizing disorder at the rally, however, only Melor Vachnadze and Misha Meskhi were arrested today. Police took a decision to arrest them after interrogation. They were charged with article 166 of the criminal code of Georgia. These persons have served several sentences for hooliganism before.
West Georgia`s District Prosecutor`s Office has arrested the secretary general of the United National movement Vano Merabishvili and the president`s representative to the Kakheti Region Zurab Chiaberashvili.
