Ex-PM, ex-minister of health summoned for interrogation

Former prime minister of Georgia, currently secretary general of the United National Movement, Vano Merabishvili and the former minister of health care Zurab Chiaberashvili have been summoned to the Western Regional prosecutor`s Office for interrogation; Chiaberashvili has to appear before the law enforcers at 14:00 tomorrow, while Merabishvili at 16:00. At the special briefing, the representatives of the Kutaisi district prosecutor`s office announced the details of the case, in connection of which the two former officials will be interrogated tomorrow. The investigation has clarified that 21,837 persons were employed at the social service agency of the ministry of health and social care ministry ficticiously; the process was carried out under the decree signed by the former minister of health care. According to the investigation, the total sum issued for the salaries of the people, who did not carry out any social work, was 5,240,880 GEL.
