Over three hundred firemen were fighting fire at the Saba furniture trade center in Didube-Chughureti district of Tbilisi late last night. It took four hours to localize the fire, however, 5000 square meters of the building and shops inside was completely burnt down. The traders managed to save only a very insignificant part of the furniture. The experts have not clarified yet what caused the fire. Fire brigades said there was a danger that the fire might spread on the nearby buildings, but they managed to localize it only after four hours. Luckily, nobody was injured in the incident. The traders are asking the government for assistance to help redress the damage.
