If Thea Tsukukiani [Georgia`s Justice Minister] does not have legal education, she did not have a right to assume the justice minister`s position, chairperson of the parliament`s committee for legal issues, Mr. Vakhtang Khmaladze said in his interview with Position talk-show of Rustavi 2 TV.
He also said in this case, decisions made by her, as a justice minister, cannot be considered legal.
Mr. Khmaladze described that there is no educational qualification limit for any of the ministers, who are public figures. However, the justice minister is exclusion, because she also assumes functions of a chief prosecutor and a prosecutor as well as judges needs educational qualification.
Ms. Tsulukiani on her side posted a special address on her Facebook page. "I returned to Georgia today. I`d like to thank all my supporters and call them to stay calm. Evidently, the next several weeks seem to be a difficult period for the cohabitation. Verbal attacks on the government and its members are expected to become more frequent. I, as a government member, consider it my duty to give the society en example of calmness", she said adding that some of the accusations are not worth of her reply.
The minister said she intends to hold a televised interview on Tuesday, during which she will answer all the questions of media.
