Former minister of defense of Georgia returned from the United States last night. Dimitri Shashkini arrived in Georgia together with his family. Ex-minister, who fled Georgia after the parliamentary elections of October 1, 2012, says he is prepared to cooperate with the investigation on any issue if necessary.
Ex-minister says the reasons of his departure to the United States were both personal and political.
Shashkini was the minister of defense for a few months before the change of the government, earlier he was the minister of education and penitentiary.
The new government has questions to him about his work in all three structures, including the 113 mln. GEL deficit discovered in the defense ministry and the principle of issuing bonuses to his staff.
