Speaker makes statement about a new document
06.03.13 12:02
Majority plans to adopt a resolution on Georgia`s foreign policy priorities and offers presenting their positions within the inter-faction group of MPs to the minority - chairperson of the parliament, Davit Usupashvili announced at the bureau today. He said the majority will have to present for vote its own document prepared by the foreign affairs committee chairperson Tedo Japaridze, even if the minority MPs denies it. `Parliamentary majority has its final position that this document is entirely acceptable, therefore, I am making the last offer to the minority - if they have a desire to make this an inter-faction agreement, then they should contact Gia Volski or Tedo Japaridze today and agree their positions in this regards. If with any reason, the inter-faction agreement is not reached, then we`ll present the document as a resolution at the parliament session for vote tomorrow,` Davit Usupashvili said. President and Prime Minister confirmed yesterday that they are prepared to make a joint statement about Georgia`s foreign policy course.
