The principle of staffing of the GPB supervisory board may be changed soon. The appropriate draft law has been prepared by experts and it will be discussed at the session of the education committee in parliament. According to the project, the number of the members of the board will be reduced from 15 to 9; three members will be appointed by parliamentary majority, three by the opposition and two by the ombudsman. The ninth member of the board will be the director of the Adjara public broadcaster, which will be a subordinate body to the GPB. Adjara Public Broadcaster will have the same rights in the region as GPB has in the country and it will get 15% of the GPB funds.
