Parliament plans to set up an investigation commission
07.03.13 15:00
Parliament will set up an interim investigation commission, which will probe into the activities of the National Regulatory Commission of Communications. The initiative was voiced by majority MP Zurab Tkemaladze, who says the commission will work for three months and it will be staffed with 12 MPs.
Zurab Tkemaladze says the parliament received documents and complaints about the violations in the work of the regulatory commission, the members of which were invited to the parliament for making definitions, but they failed to confirm the fairness of their decisions.
`We could send these documents to prosecutor`s office for reaction, but we preferred to get rid of political statements about pressure and offered to the opposition to set up a temporary investigation commission, where the majority MPs would not be more than half of the members and the opposition and the majority would discuss this issue jointly,` Tkemaladze said.
